It's a New Day.

At this moment, I feel just as good as I did after I gave birth to Miles. I feel refreshed, inspired, overjoyed and empowered. This moment feels so surreal. I am so happy that Miles is experiencing this moment and this time--and all the changes that are to come. The timing couldn't have been any more perfect than it is now. He will grow up with a Black president, and one day understand the significance of what has just happened. Miles will know that even as a person of color, all things are possible and attainable, growing up in this world when you believe, persevere, organize, and hustle. The world is yours, Miles...
