Miles' toddler behavior is slowly changing (goodbye tantrums! thank God) as we notice every day how much he grows. It's great to see him becoming a big boy but it's also bittersweet because the cute things that he would do and say as a toddler are also changing as he learns more about the world, life, and about himself. But thank goodness for the things that haven't changed just yet...I'd like to hold on to these moments for as long as I possibly could!
Today at the park, he was sitting on a bench, eating his spam musubi with his dad. Across from them was a mother and daughter, about 2 or 3 years old, climbing up the playground. He leans to his dad and says, "Her's cute." And he's sitting there, watching this girl play with a big smile. Now I don't know if he's just saying she's cute cause he hears me say that about little kids that we see when we are out--or if he's just attracted to her (already?!!?). It was just a cute moment.
He also has this funny way of using the word, "very". He ran in the park, tripped and fell down and began to cry. I walk over to him and help him up and he says, "Mommy, it very hurts, bad sidewalk!" (condemning the concrete for making him fall).
Oh, I'm just gonna miss when he says things properly. But then again, it would not be cute to hear him talk like that at 8 years old!
I realize that it's already May (omg!) and I haven't updated most of the April pictures so here you go..this is what Miles has been up to this Spring so far...
