Magic Island

Miles' uncles

Miles loves any kind of yellow sign he sees like the deer crossing signs in Napa. So when he saw this sign, he exclaimed, "Ooh! Look at that sign! Jellyfish?! Can you take a picture?" He had just learned about what happens 10 days after a full moon in Hawaii: Jellyfishes come out and even wash up on the shore! What is it about the full moon that causes this?

So Miles was very cautious at first and just wanted to play in the sand. Seeing the sign made him feel like he was in harm's way with the jellies. "Is it 10 days still or is it after?" he asked.

The sounds Miles makes when he plays are the best. A combo of "Vrrrrrm...boooshhh!" and other noises.

Playing in the sand is just as fun for him though. He was looking for shells and rocks and imagining he was a bulldozer.
On a hunt, he was imagining that he was finding treasure ( = rocks).

But when he saw his dad go into the water, he felt brave enough to go in!

He didn't want to use his water wings which he usually uses.

"Look!" Paddle boarders were out.

Nanay would love this. A little dog paddle boarding too.

Ripples! Waves!

Splashing!
Splashing dad!

Ok, time to go back and play in the sand.

We dug in the sand to find treasures and he found a green crab (covered in sand) that he played with for a bit.
We had a great time at Magic Island!
