Mr. Independent

So as nature has it, looks like its time for me to ween the monster off. I'm a bit sad but I figure I can still nurse him at least once or twice a day. He seems to enjoy bottle-feeding as well as feeding his own independent self.




After his meal, we headed to the V to visit Darrien and Lola & Lolo. Darrien is growing so fast everytime we see him! He's just about the size of Miles! The cute thing about this little fat boy is that he snorts in between his crying and whining. He's the lil piglet and Miles is the lil monkey.




I gotta admit, I do feel somewhat relieved now that I can probably rest more and do more things since the milk factory is coming to a close. I remember Tasha, Brandon's wifey & Jesse's mama, telling me how sad she was when she weened Jesse from her at 6 months. Back then, Miles was just 2 and a half months. I felt like she was lucky to be free from being bound by the breast. But now that I'm at this point, and my lil boy is growing up, I am feeling it!

I look back at the first days of feeding Miles and still pretty surprised that I managed to feed him for these past 6 months! While he is pretty much a good baby, the balance to that was that he has been such an agressive lil barracuda on the breast. So nursing has been WORK. But his good health and our happiness is the pay off!
