Argh! Pirates!

There are some pretty cool events that take place in Vallejo, including the annual Pista Sa Nayon, the motorcycle crew mass gathering, and the Pirate Festival. Yes, pirates! We decided to finally check this festival out.
As you can tell, the boys were ready to get their Pirates on.
There were some serious Pirates. Not playing around. I think a few of the scarier looking ones even scowled at us!
But Miles wasnʻt trippin, he had cotton candy.
Milesʻ favorite part of the festival was the cannon displays.
This was his favorite mini-cannon.
He also loved the Piratesʻ swords.
I enjoyed Pirate-watching.
There were cool Pirate accessories on display, including these masks!
Miles found some Pirate ships that were kid-friendly.
He spotted Pirateʻs treasure!
He was amazed, touching this real (inactive) cannon!
He met some interesting characters, including a Pirate lady with her pet crabs.
And before we left the festival, Miles got to try the catapults. He really enjoyed the Pirate Festival so much that we returned the following day on Fatherʻs day, just to watch the Pirate ship and mini-cannon battle! It was a very loud but fun experience! Iʻm sure we will be back again next year.
