After School Fun

We made a trip to the art shop and Miles chose different activities he wanted to do at home. With Halloween approaching, he chose orange and black clay to make what he said was "Halloweeny things." He also asked me what Halloween meant. I have no idea--maybe I should google it. But instead, I explained what Day of the Dead was--and how Pilipino culture celebrates it as some Latino cultures celebrate Dia de los Muertos, honoring those who have passed before us. Not sure how much of it went over his head but I hope to try to include some meaningful stories behind these holidays we celebrate. I'm thinking of creating an altar with him as Oct. 31st comes closer.

Making bats...

Making pumpkins...

He was in the zone...

When we got home from school today, the first thing he wanted to do was use his new finger paints.

"I love getting messy!"

For all the families in the Bay--come thru next Saturday! Mighty 4 11th Year Anniversary--a kid-friendly event. Graff battle, 1 on 1 bboy/bgirl battle & performance by Pharaoh Monche! Also, Jus and I will both be spinning and Mileskiii will be getting down...FREE event--dedicated to the youth...

And catch Mamafeelgood spinnin' this Thursday night, bringing that boom bap & funk...
