Summer Vacation Pt.2: Road Trip

A week after Miles returned home from his summer vacation in Hawaii, we went on a week excursion with gramma, papa, and Rohawn to San Diego, Las Vegas, and back to the bay. It was a pretty fun trip none the less, spending quality time with family and creating new memories. Thanks for taking us on a journey gramma & papa!

For those of you that know this boy Miles, you'll understand that Lego Land is heaven for him not just because of all the legos but because of the Bionicles.  So you know he was psyched about this!

Ro & Miles

"Take pictures of me with this one please mom!"

...and so, we took pictures of every bionicle we saw...

Besides Bionicle hunts, he rode rides--even with Gramma!

Saw some very intricate and amazing lego sculptures.

Made some lego friends.

Watched Ro climb.

I even spotted Jacob!

The Royal Joust!

Crystal hunting in the King's Treasury with Dad.

Gramma bought him a sword that made him feel fierce!

Rohawn, Miles & Jus had so much fun spraying others at the Splash Battle.

Water play was perfect for that hot day! They were soaked...

Got drenched playing at Swabbies Deck.

Took a breather & dried off under the sun.

Then we checked out how legos are made.

Miles wanted to drive at the junior driving school.

He was a pretty good driver for being 4 years old. Haha!

After the course, he got his license.

He was like Mr. Cool once he got his driver's license.

Chillin' with his grandparents & still holding up his license!

One of coolest things at Lego Land was the coast & cruise. It reminded us of Small World at Disneyland. We saw some some amazing lego sculptures here!

And after a whole day under the sun, we made it back around to the front of the park.

We bid farewell to the Bionicles...

And found some Bionicles to take home...

A fun mission accomplished!

For dinner, we ate at a Diners, Dives, & Drive-Inns approved restaurant in San Diego, Corvette Diner.
Went back to the hotel to clean up.

Enjoyed milkshakes & sundaes.

Had dinner with San Diego friends & family.

Ran around a bit with his new friend!

Overall, San Diego was a lot of family fun!

Stay tuned for the Las Vegas excursion...
